My Dedication
My name is Dave Lindberg, I am first and foremost a child of God, Christ Follower, Husband of one wife, father, and grandfather. I am a lover of Luna County and am running for the opportunity to serve you as County Commissioner in district 1. My faith is the foundation of my life, and it shapes how I approach public service: to tell the truth, do what’s right even when it’s hard, and treat every person with dignity and respect.
I was born and raised here in Deming. Working alongside my father taught me the value of hard work and personal responsibility. In 1981, I joined the U.S. Navy and volunteered for submarine service, serving 14 years as a Submarine Electronics Technician. I then spent 26 years as a Navy civil servant in project and program management. Those years reinforced what I believe to be true: leadership is service, and trust is earned by showing up, listening, and doing the work.
Since retiring in 2022 and coming home, I’ve seen progress—but also real needs we can’t ignore: more job opportunities and skilled trades, substance abuse and mental health challenges facing our youth, an underfunded and understaffed Sheriff’s Department, and aging infrastructure—especially in District 1. I believe government’s role is to protect the public, be a good steward of tax dollars, and help create the conditions where families can thrive.
I’m also committed to standing with our farming and ranching families and protecting private property rights and water access. We can manage our land and natural resources responsibly while honoring those who contribute to its cultivation. Stewardship encompasses both safeguarding our environment and sustaining the practices that support and nourish our community.
As your County Commissioner, I will work every day to serve—without playing favorites and without forgetting who the job is for. My priorities are straightforward: strengthen public safety through better funding and recruitment; invest in roads and community facilities; support adult education and workforce development; and make county government more transparent and responsive. I’m asking for your vote and your prayers, and I’m ready to earn your trust through steady, servant-minded leadership. Together, we can build a stronger, safer, and more prosperous Luna County.

God has put a burden on my heart to serve Luna County. It is my pleasure to give back to all of you. Thank you in advance for electing me as your next County Commissioner!
We need better job opportunities to keep our young people here, stronger support for mental health a
nd substance abuse issues, improved funding for public safety, and long-overdue attention to our roads and infrastructure. I’m committed to standing up for our farming and ranching communities and protecting private land and water rights.
